Surgery Anesthesia

Because carpal tunnel surgery is a relatively limited operation in terms of its scope and involvement, surgery is most often performed under local anesthesia, and some patients prefer a little bit of mild sedation as well. It's usually not necessary to undergo general anesthetic, and it's certainly not necessary to stay in a hospital overnight after carpal tunnel release. It should be a relatively small and straightforward outpatient procedure.
